Lazy Day Fishing
I've lived in Post Falls for over 20 years, and until this week, never knew about this small gem of a park. It was nice to spend a little time down by the water, watching the fishermen.

Morning Light
I took a walk one morning on the Centennial Trail near the I-90 rest stop. The light and clouds were so beautiful playing on the hills as our town began to wake up.

Lovely Picnic Spot
I went for a walk through the neighborhood one morning and stopped for a rest in this graceful gazebo. I think I'll return for lunch soon.

Post Falls Local Market
The Post Falls Local Market is a relatively new weekly event, held on the plaza in front of City Hall. Sponsored by the Post Falls Lions Club, the event is one of the group's primary fundraisers.
The Market has a variety of vendors and local artisins selling fresh produce, home-canned goods, plants, hand-crafted ornaments, candles, and ...
Face Painting! This is where daughter Jodie and I spent most of our time.
Artist Debi Melkonian is fun to chat with as she paints a design in colors of your choosing.
The Market is open from 4 - 7:30pm through the summer. Vendor spaces can be rented for $20 each week.

In the Raspberry Patch
Guest Blogger: Jodie Davaz
The summer sun encourages the growth of some tasty homegrown treats in our
corner of the world. Some of the very best can be found in a raspberry farm off
of Ponderosa Ave.
The owner, Mike, began cultivating the you-pick farm with his father-in-law
about 35 years ago.
"We get people from all over," Mike said. "The most any group had ever picked at once was about 26 pounds. They said they were making wine."
The raspberry bushes are inhabited by a few rather vocal chickens and is
open for exploration in mid-to-late July.
